A fever is especially worrisome if you also have:
- Diarrhea, nausea, or vomiting
- Severe belly pain
- Severe back pain
- Trouble urinating or changes in your urination
- Vaginal discharge that smells bad
A fever may be a warning sign of other problems, such as:
- An infection somewhere in your body
- Appendix, gall bladder, or bowel infection
- Kidney infection
- Uterine infection
